All of the following rules, judging criteria, age categories, and dates are subject to change as we update our ruleset for next year.
Max Size: 10×10 inches and under 24 inches tall (base plate recommended).
Special Piece Requirement: Your creation must include at least one clearly visible plant (flower, leaf, tree...any plant matter.) Or be a plant made from Lego bricks.
Sturdiness Rule: All parts must be securely attached and be sturdy enough for gentle staff movement.*
* Disclaimer: While we do our best to keep your creations safe, we recommend not including sentimental or irreplaceable pieces.
The Awesome Storyteller: Tells the best story, creates the most compelling scene or is just pure fun.
The “Wow” Factor: The most impressive visual impact, amazing detail, or brilliant use of color.
Wildest Imagination: Creative, unique, and out-of-the-box ideas.
Best Brick Engineering: technical skill, clever building technique, or impressive construction
Best Use of Special Piece
To make judging fair, contestants are split into different age categories!
Ages 0–5
Ages 6–7
Ages 8–10
Ages 11–17
Ages 18+
Remember! No helping between age groups! Kids build for kids, adults build for adults!
May 1–22: Entry drop-off and display.
May 23–28: Public voting in-store.
May 25-28: Judging by Toy Factory staff.
May 31: Awards Ceremony at 1 PM.
June 7: Prize-winning creations stay on display until this date.
June 14: Last day to pick up creations. Unclaimed entries will be donated.
